I play it the same way.

Reraising here is bad unless you expect someone without AA to oblige you and put in another raise. Playing big pots out of position with a well defined hand is not the way to riches. Also, effective stacks are just bad for a reraise. You have to reraise into that middle ground of 10-40% of your stack. Just do what you did, suck it up and call pre flop, expecting to check fold most flops.
