Pointing solutions for entertainment PC

I am thinking about building/installing an entertainment PC with a TV Tuner card, huge storage for DVR, and even for some possible poker playing. The PC will then be hooked up to my big screen, so I was thinking about the best pointing solution to use when playing poker from say, my couch.

I know a lot of people use those gyro-handheld things but I don't like them at all. I was leaning more along the side of a wireless keyboard with a touchpad, but the one I want is going to be like $120 and I was just wondering if there was something I am overlooking.

Anyone have any good ideas or recommendations?
