It doesn't happen much anymore. One of the reasons it doesn't happen is the old time cheats got poker rooms in the 70s and made procedures to defeat all their old cheating techniques. If you relax procedures you will attract cheats. Whenever I have been involved in writing a procedure I start with the assumption that if there is a way to steal people will do it. The best procedures are ones that make it hard to steal and allow you to show that nobody is stealing.
