Default Phil Ivey never runs bad?

On the last Circuit, Matusow said Ivey told him that there is no such thing as running bad, only playing bad.
I just don't see how people who have had really bad runs in the past would say something like that.
It seems to me that the only was Ivey can say something like that if he has never run bad. Is it possible? Is it possible that Ivey just has been running extremely well for the last 6 years?
