Synergetic RAM......?

I have a Dell laptop that came with 2 x 512 MB RAM. I'd like to bump that to 2 x 1 GB. But from what I've read here on these forums the two memories work together and stuff. And that seems to be important.

If I get two 1 GB memories called "1024MB SODIMM DDR2 200pin PC5300, 667MHz", is that good? Or are there other types that work better together?
