Bet more on flop and fold turn for sure. Don't bother trying to figure out exactly what your opponent could have. You're playing NL$50 and people do strange things that won't make any sense to you. I would just assume that he has the straight and give up on the hand without a read. Sure sometimes you're folding the best hand, but the pot is pretty small and you can find plenty of better spots to get your money in.
