Moving DAT File to Another Computer

I am trying to transfer a DAT file from one computer to another but I am not able to. The DAT file in question is the player notes function for Full Tilt Poker. I can successfully move it to the new computer, but instantly when I log in to Full Tilt on the new computer, it resets my folder which contained the DAT file. Sorry if this sounds confusing, but I am not very good with this kind of thing. Any help would be appreciated.
