I guess I would like serious/helpful responses, but feel free to crack jokes/laugh at my lameness/misfourtune/over use of the virgule.
So I bought a 'moped' online because I thought it looked cool for a moped and had power speed and good gas efficiency. Turns out it wasn't really a moped, it was a scooter/motorcycle since it has 150cc. I drove it unlicenced, unregistered and uninsured for about two months. Then I got in an accident. I was the only one hurt, but a 'helpful' observer called 911 immediately. EMS came, police came, I was busted (but not badly hurt). So I got a ticket for the following: Delinquent motor vehicle tax No certificate of inspection No certificate of registration No motorcycle/motor scooter insurence policy I don't know why nothing is mentioned about not having a licence. An officer said something about that at the time. I thought he asked for the ticket back to add it, but it isn't here. Mostly what I want to know is what to expect in court and what penalties am I looking at. I'm a first timer. This is in Hawaii. How F'd am I? Feel free to ask more questions. |
