The one thing raising preflop does is that it puts pressure on these loose, weak players on the flop. The size of the pot is much larger when raised preflop and they face a test in deciding whether to call the flop bet.
I still like the way you played the hand. You could have raised preflop, but I have no problem with limping. The flop was standard. If this guy who covers you 'only' calls the 65- theres no way he has 3 queens. If someone has 3 queens there i'd go broke probably every time. Seem too many people go crazy with bottom set,top 2 or a straight draw wrap to throw that away.
