Default Re: Suspected to use a bot. How to react ?

[ QUOTE ]
Sure makes a lot of sense, Ray. I mean, how would the sites even have a hope of catching colluders and botters if the clients didn't have expanded/admin access to your machine?

Maybe if colluders/botters didn't exist, then poker clients wouldn't need to be so intrusive into your PC? But then again, if thieves and dishonest people didn't exist, we wouldn't need vaults/cops, etc.

Think about it.

using advanced features of the ntfs file system it is very
easy to create folders and processes that not even an admin
account can see; big business needs these features because
there may be things that the execs want to store on their
hdd's that they dont want the IT admin staff to be able to
see.

you can protect yourself from poker clients that demand
admin rights to your machine.

the nature of the internet favors the privacy of the enduser
and restricts the powers of a remote game server to police
your physical activities. this is why it's so frustrating
to try and police the rules of the live analog game in an
online context - the security of the game is entirely
dependent on the cooperation of the players. anybody can
decide not to cooperate with the live rules at any time and
nobody can do anything about it.

this lack of policeability is what caused most of my stress
during the years where i was trying to find ways to secure
the live rules on the internet.
