Live 5/10: JJ in SB facing LP raiser and button smoothcall
Here's a hand from my trip to the Bellagio this weekend. I'm not sure about the line I took. How would you play it?
Relative stacks/reads: LP: A young and wealthy(?) Greek kid dripping with jewelry, new to table- has only played about 7 hands so far. His only showdowns have been with KQ and QJ. About $800 behind. Button: A reasonable player from Texas, wearing a flannel shirt and talking with a drawl. Seems very straightforward. I bluffed him off a huge pot with a river checkraise a few hands ago. His wife keeps telling him he needs to come help her chckout, and he keeps waving her off. About $1200 behind. Hero: Slightly hung over and tired. Has played very few pots, and has a very TAG image. Has been at table for 2 hours so far, with only 2 showdowns- once with the nut straight, and once with trips. $2200 behind. The hand: Folded to wealthy Greek kid, who makes it $40 to go, Reasonable Texan calls from button, Hero calls with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Hero checks, Greek checks, Texan checks Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero checks, Greek checks, Texan checks River: T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero checks, Greek bets $60, Texan folds, Hero calls.
