I'd bet that this thread will sink like a stone, but I haven't seen an explanation for something ...
Why do sites have to know your address? Every site I've ever played at has prompted me for my name, address, phone number, email address and banking info. Why? Couldn't they just ask for a name, email address and funding info? Couldn't they have as a term of service that they can only provide cashouts through EFT with a non-US financial institution? If a player provides a US Bank routing number, the site could refuse the transaction. If the player funds his account from Neteller, what would the site care what his address is? In short, is there a reason why a gambling site needs to know where we live if we provide non-US (i.e. Neteller) banking info? |
