Love story, coming of age, 1920's Asia.

May or may not be based on a Dumas work. Young woman going to school and coming of age in Asia. Wealthy Chinese gadabout, light linen suits, car and driver, etc. They have an affair, Nabokov influences inherent but not main thrust of film.

Um. Undercurrents of spite running between both. She loves and hates him and can't make up her mind.

No luck with different paths thru IMDB so far, but if anybody recognizes the film, and has a title, I'd like to add it to my collection.
