How profitable are the MTT's

I've been playing 50-100NL 6 max cash games. I'm thinking spending a little more time playing some MTT's because I find them more enjoyable(and I tilt less. I'm just wondering how profitable they really are? What kind of return are some of ya'll making on them? And let's say I learn to win eventually(which might be a coinflip [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img] what buy-in will I need to play to equal a winning 50NL record? I'm just being curious, thanks for everyone's time.
