If you are running firefox, firefox is a memory whore. I have seen the memory usage climb to over 300megs of memory used. If you been using that, try closing it out and see if the CPU levels drop. [/ QUOTE ] Excessive memory usage should cause swapping, which drives CPU usage down. That being said, it's a good idea to close any non-essential apps.
