Buying a guitar

don't worry about sound quality....you'll be butchering most songs anyway as you're just learning. And you probably won't even be able to hear the difference in nicer guitars.

Just worry about finding a guitar that is easy for you to play. Find one with really good action. For many people, an eletric is much easier to start out on.

Don't buy online...you need to go play it yourself and find you that you like.

After you've played a few years and want a better guitar, then we'll worry more about the overall quality of the instrument.
