1000th post - What I (should) Have learned in the Micros (tl;dr)
Well I've finally hit 1000. Despite the fact that I registerred in 9/9/04 I never really visited regularly until October of last year. I've learned a lot since then but I still didn't have anything to say that I considered worthy of a milestone post.
However, during my brief stroll through the NL world I cam across an An Old Version of the SNG FAQ. If you have never seen this and you are even considering donking around SNG's give it a look because its basically a SNG textbook consisting of inks to old post from that forum.
With that post as a model I decided that since I had nothing new to say, I would try and go back a create a textbook of what I've learned in the micros.
Well, it took longer than I thought and I learned a few more things putting this together.
1. The amount of high quality material in this forum is overwhelming.
2. Much of the quality comes from a relatively small group of core posters who depite having moved beyond playing micro limits continue to contribute here all the time. We all know who they are (and if you don't it will become obvious from the list of links below) but let me just say thanks to the Pooh-Bahs and Carpal Tunnels of Micros - If any of you make it to Vegas your first round is on me.
3. Sadly I cannot say that I have actually read all this stuff. I hoping that putting it altogether in one placewill help me (and maybe others) to get 'er done.
OK Enough Preamble - Here's What I (Should) Have Learned from My Time in the Micros:
