Default check raising the river against habitual value bettors

Playing in a soft 1/2 that I havent frequented in a long time, come to find out there are some stronger players here now.

Long session, very long, and I'm finding myself against two particular players where I've gone to the river and made enough of a hand where I need to call, but would rather get to showdown for free, but am facing bets on the river every time.

In this spot, who has some experience in check raising your strong hands here not only for value, but also for the value you gain from getting to showdown cheaper in later hands? What hands are you doing this with, if at all?

i.e., checkraising strong hands to slow down players who always value bet the river, so you're not always facing a bet on the river every time you get there with a marginal calling hand
