Default Sklansky-Chubukov Example in NLHT&P

X posted in Books and Publications but no replies.

pages 222 and 223 discuss adjusting the rankings for antes. The example is a 10 handed game with $50 antes and $300/$600 blinds. The hand you have in the SB is K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] , your remaining stack is $9000. Page 223 top paragraph begins "If everyone folds to you, and you move in, you are laying about 6.5 to 1."

There is $1400 in blinds and antes, your push makes the pot either $10,400 or $10,050 depending on whether your $9000 stack was before posting blinds and antes or after. It cost the BB either $8700 to win $10,400 or $8350 to win $10,050. How are you laying about 6.5 to 1 odds?
