Movin on up............
To a deeee lux apartment, in skyyy...
I am usually playing too many tables, or watching too much TV, etc. to get really specific player reads during the average tournament. I will amp things up for 100$+ events, or as the bubble approaches during smaller events. Otherwise I rely on a lot of generalized reads. Basically, I have an idea in my mind of what a typical party 40K player will do, and react accordingly. Sure I get burned sometime, but not nearly as much as you think. Anyway, I am curious as to how often you see this at higher levels. The weak 'probe' bet Somewhere around the bubble. Hero opens for 3xBB from MLP, BB calls. Flop is something like Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] BB leads for ~1/3ish pot, Hero raises full pot (before bet), BB folds. -I think this works about 80% of the time at the 30$ and below MTTs I play. -Notice I didnt mention my cards, but yes I do this with AQ and 65s, so dont get any ideas about calling me down. |
