Stealing/defending blinds
I'm new to shorthanded play. My first 30K hands have gone well when considering BB/100, but when comparing my stats to other posters stats or some of the top performers in my database my stealing and defending numbers are off.
My attempted steals are 24% and I'm folding my BB to steals 45%. I see a lot of players with both numbers 10 points higher. My positional stats tell me I'm -.11 in the BB, which seems pretty good from what I've observed. What is the ideal steal percentage/defending percentage? What do you steal with to get up to 30? I just can't bring myself to steal with 92o. Do you steal a lot out of the SB? I really feel uncomfortable being out of position. As far as defending my blind goes, I find it hard to fold agaisnt the high percentage stealers and a lot of cards look good getting 3.3:1, plus I think my numbers look pretty good from that position. Any insight would be appreciated. |
