"Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is UTG with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Hero raises to ..." [/ QUOTE ] Recently, I'm seeing this kind of mid-sized suited connector raise from UTG in 6-max a lot more than I remember seeing a year ago. Can somebody explain why raising UTG with suited connectors at 6-max is standard? I thought that once in a while this kind of thing was OK to "mix it up" so you aren't so predictable, but this now seems to be completely standard. Folding UTG with suited connectors seems to have gone out of fashion. Why is raising with these marginal drawing hands out of position the new standard? |
