Without reading any of the replies, my gut tells me that unless you have a infallible guide to morality (and I do not believe one exists) then you should obey unjust laws and work to change them legally. Here in the United Kingdom, we have a very comprehensive welfare system but the healthy moan because they have to pay through their taxes for the ill to go to hospital, those without children moan because they have to pay through their taxes for the upkeep of state schools so that other people's children can get an education. I am an anarchist and think the sooner we achieve anarchy the better. When there is an unjust law why is it better to start writing letters in the hope that the law may be changed at some point in the distant future? Why should I have to suffer injustice? |
