If my VPN connection goes down, what happens?

I use a routing table that is like this:

route add 88.80.x.xx mask 255.255.255.255 192.168.4.1
route delete 0.0.0.0
route add 0.0.0.0 mask 0.0.0.0 88.80.y.yy

If my VPN-server goes down, will my traffic go the "normal" route to let's say Party Poker, or will it just disconnect (which I want it to do)?
