5/10 FTP: 4 Bet Pot, (Easy?) Flop Decision
There might be an obvious answer to this one, but I just want to make sure..
This was a hand from an FTP 5/10 session. I'm running at about 17/15. Villain in the hand is SILLYGOOSER, who plays about 17/15 as well, and can mix it up both pre and post flop. I don't think there are any specific reads from our history that can help with this decision. OK, so he three bets me pre when I pick up KK, and I choose to four bet him small, hoping to induce a shove from a wide-ish range. I can make this same 4 bet with suited connectors, etc. First, do you like this 4bet size? The flop comes pretty ugly for my hand and I check. Anyone strongly prefer a bet? Finally, when he shoves is it a call or a fold? What hand range do you put him on to justify your decision? Thanks! you're probably beat but call
preflop I'd make it slightly bigger since you're oop. 300 is fine if you're in position though |

bet>cc,
i'd rais a lil more preflop, but its not horrible. btw, u cannot fold KK in a 4 bet pot 100bb deep. without an ace on the flop |

Well if he only shoves sets, AA KK QQ and AK spades its still a close call so... call.
Bet might be better though |

Re: 5/10 FTP: 4 Bet Pot, (Easy?) Flop Decision
I'm not a fan of 4-betting preflop. I think it gives away your hand strength too much.. you're pretty tight.
Calling would look strong too but he could put you on a larger range of pairs. I don't know what he has that can call a push other than QQ but I can't really see folding this kind of flop. |

[/ QUOTE ] For me 4 betting can be done with a wider range in this spot than calling. I just do not call 3bets with a wide range OOP and have a fairly balanced 4betting range here. |

check/call is good because they always shoves AK here.
