Gotta say Mario 3 for its enjoyability and how well it holds up today. Can't really argue why it should be number 1 over Zelda though. Both arguments on why they should be 1 are solid so it really comes down to what game giggles your spine and makes you vote for it.
Which is why SMB3 is winning because it ownzzzzzz.
