200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
I'm relatively new to NL and have no clue what to do here. Villain is 27/20/1.2 over 50 hands or so. This was my last hand so I called p/f a bit loosely.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (6 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) BB ($102.30) Hero ($339.65) MP ($278.05) CO ($65.50) Button ($281.05) SB ($201) Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero calls $2, MP raises to $8, 1 fold, Button calls $8, 2 folds, Hero calls $6. Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
Bet more on the flop.
Villain could easily be holding something like A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I don't play much NL but I think we have to 3-bet this turn, maybe $200 or so? |

Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
Loose last hand - familiar story - Double up or go home broke!!
2 choices here - conservative route is to flat call and call any river bet as long as another diamond doesnt come. Probably best approach is to push all in and pray that it isnt a total cold deck. Hopefully he has ak with one diamond. |

Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
More on flop and I think I go broke here- like others have said this is going to be KKK or AK w/ a diamond draw here too often.
One thing I have been questioning is if it's better to shove over the top to protect or to come over the top small to induce. Thoughts? |

Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
the more I think about this hand, the more im not sure what to do.
Im having a hard time putting him on a hand. His turn minraise gives you over 4-1 to call. So if he has a set, hes giving you odds to draw at a flush, and if he has a flush hes giving you odds to draw at a fullhouse. Since baby flushes and 33, 44 are in your range. But your flop lead is small so he might think you dont have a set, and are more likely to have a Jx diamond or baby flush hand. So really the only hands that make sense for him to play this way are flush hands. Since he wont want to risk getting shoved on with anything else, cuz hes drawing. Unless he thinks you are FOS and his minraise is cuz he thinks bluffing the K is a good idea, and he wants to bluff as cheap as possible, but that seems remote. If we narrow it down to AK with a diamond, or nut flush hands, hes combinationally just as likely to have either. But I think raising with AK is terrible because if he gets shoved on, he cant profitably call. man, thats a long rambling way to say I think you are [censored] here if your opponent plays well. |

Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
does anyone really think that a set calls this flop, and raises turn?
seems like a set should raise this flop always, and something like AdJx would raise flop, instead of waiting until the turn i dont shove here, i call and re-eval river, c/f a pretty good amount |

Re: 200 NL flopped flush facing turn raise
shoving puts him to a decision for 220 more in a pot that is now 170. he'll be getting about 2:1 on the shove
stick it in |
