Re: NL 10 - Top two BvB Tricky situation??
Whats his AF? Sucks to dump 2 pair HU, especially vs an obvious drooler but this looks like a set unless he's particularly spewy post flop. Are suits relevant?

At NL10 I overplay my strong hands, (if suits are irrelevant) I pretty much push this every time.

Ignore anyone that doesnt say instapush, you are only behind sets (assuming the flush didnt get there) and if you are up against a set its a cooler. i get it in quick

Re: NL 10 - Top two BvB Tricky situation??
I think your hand is too good to be folding for $6 more, but I'm not ecstatic about that turn 3-bet. But at least if Villain has kings up, it can't be better than yours, and also there are some flopped two pair hands he could have (especially if he knows you're open-raising versus his BB with hands like K8 and he's getting stubborn).
If the board was two-flush on the flop, then top pair plus a flush draw is possible, and a simple top pair can't be ruled out either if Villain is a loose peeler and/or doesn't like to let go of AK/KQ type hands. |

Re: NL 10 - Top two BvB Tricky situation??
Why are you raising K8 in the SB when there's a loose player behind you?
I'm playing 10NL aswell and have found myself in many annoying situations as this one. You raise a mediocre hand from the SB to steal the BB, but since he's a loose player he calls. Now you have to play this hand out of position against a villain that could have any two. With this villain I'd say: fold preflop. |
