Playing trips
I've run into this a few times and it never seems to work out. What lines do you like?
full stacks, "typical" opponents, 6-max, 1 limper, I open KKT2 in CO, btn calls, 3 to the flop. flop is 229 rainbow, I lead standard bet on this board of 60% of pot, button calls blank turn What is your line then? Bet-fold? check-call down? bet-call? |

Re: Playing trips
depends on button... generally c/c turn and c/f river depending on what it brings

Re: Playing trips
After betting little over half pot on the flop, I'd still bet most turns about a 2/3 psb.

Re: Playing trips
Value.
I think if we check we have to c/c since we'd look extremely weak and we'll be guessing on most rivers. Since its hard for us to be put on a 2 since we raised preflop and lead, weakly, post flop I think our hand is hidden enough to get more value. Unless villian is slowplaying 99xx, I think we're head. A2xx usually would raise our flop bet I think and 92xx isn't getting played much preflop and even when it does, its probably playing back at our 60% flop psb. |

Re: Playing trips
bet 2/3 pot or so for value/protection, usually fold to a raise. Probably check the river if we don't fill up.
