Flopped top and bottom pair blind vs. blind
Obviously the big question is the flop. I think the turn pretty much plays itself for me.
First of all, I am playing this hand with the assumption that any two pair are going to be huge when it's just a blind vs. blind confrontation in an unraised pot. It seems to me that in many cases, min-raises are huge hands. When he check raises me the absolute minimum, he obviously knows I'm not folding. At that point, I was pretty sure he had something he liked a whole lot. It was possible he had two pair as well, but I was focusing more on the straights, 96 and J9. If I come over the top of him here and he has a straight, he's going to shove. Then I throw up because I can't fold and I'm probably crushed. The safe play to me was to just make the call in position and make a decision for more chips on the turn with more information. How are you guys playing this flop?
