Re: 25nl: Im a donk with AA, easy fold?
[ QUOTE ]
I would check the flop to control the pot size. [/ QUOTE ] this is pretty results oriented pot control is more reserved for dry boards. at this point we must bet to protect our hand. |

ya checking here for pot control is very bad, giving someone a free card for many draws. CB it then fold.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't like the strength of AA on this flop. So I am adhering to NLHE: T&P saying bet strong hands strongly. I am confused, if you had AA on a dry board, why would you try to control the size of the pot as opposed to building a big one for the likely best holding (unless proven otherwise via betting). Betting to protect our hand in this spot doesn't really protect our hand because we open ourselves up to semi-bluffs that will work. As for the result oriented remark, I agree that Button's actions probably skewed my decision. |

On a dry board ppl won't call so easily. Unless they make a big hand, most likely bigger then yours.
On a wet board ppl will chase more with incorrect odds. This is what you want to do. |
