Just as the 10% rule indicates you need 10:1 total odds (in your 50:5 example) the 8% rule indicates you need 12.5:1. So in the case of 100BB stacks, you don't want to call more than 8BB's.

I think calling is better than 4betting or folding. Hero has position and does not necessarily have to play middle pairs for set value. I'll float a lot of cbets as long as the flop isn't outrageously broadway oriented, and then play poker on the turn. [/ QUOTE ] |
