Default Extracting Value-Top set vs PF raiser

Villain solid TAG 20/15/1.3 > 110 hands. Should I c/r the flop or c/c here and wait until later streets in case he has AK? If I c/r here that screams set on such a patheticly dry board. What are your thoughts?

I think I prefer check/call unless you have been attacking this villian lately and/or if you've check/raised bluffed him on similar dry boards in the past or at least think that with the image of you he sees he'd think it's pretty possible.

In general just call and probably check turn also. The pot will be $10+ after call so you don't have to build one really, if he has anything or spikes/bluffs you will stack him off.

edit: Now bet obv and he's going to fold like 80% of the time because he has nothing.

As played I check the turn again. He's either got nothing, TT+ or some Q....well maybe like 88/77 also or possibly 55/33.

If you check the turn he'll bet a Q...gives him a chance to bet nothing, and maybe he bets one of those pairs.

If he bets the turn I call....then I lead river with a valuebet.

If he checks behind on turn I may do the above or I may go for a check/raise since he will fold his nothings to a bet, if he has a Q or a lower set we're getting it in anyway and after hero chesks all 3 streets he's gonna valuebet KK/AA and maybe JJ/TT. The only downside I see to this is if he has the TT and decided to check behind river instead of getting some more value. But I think against this player this is optimal.

Eeerily similar situation (Note: I only led flop because I was doing something on another table and looked back at the hand when the flop came out and assumed I was the pre-flop raiser when in actuality I was not.):
