Given the stack sizes and the fact that BB is loose I just fold here. If he's the type of opponent I think he is than you know he's gonna call the raise. I see no need to start a BVB war vs a loose monster stack on the bubble when we're sitting comfortably in second with ~25bbs.

When I'm in this position I like to keep the pots small against the bigger stack unless I have a monster.
So here I would have just played the entire hand passively, getting out unless I hit a big flop. Top pair on that board isn't really worth a lot of chips to me, especially because of the stack sizes. Plus, he is loose on the bubble, which shows he may not be an idiot. |
