5/10: Is 3-bet shoving here pure spew?
Villain in this hand is regular who plays pretty tight for 6m (19/14) but is v.v. good in my opinion. He uses his tight image well, and has run a couple successful bluffs on me in the past. I kind of suspect he's taking a stab at the pot, as I fire a lot of 2nd barrels here. A shove will fold out flush draws, straight draws, air, and one-pair hands like JJ or AQ that he's turning into a bluff. Obviously, I don't fold out trips or boats, and he miiiight look me up with AA/KK. Plus, I almost always have at least one out if called. So, stick it in?

Re: 5/10: Is 3-bet shoving here pure spew?
how often does he float?
it's unlikely that he would turn a hand like 88 or smth into a bluff. i dont really like 3betting here. |

Re: 5/10: Is 3-bet shoving here pure spew?
Villain isn't particularly floaty, and his pf call is kind of out of character; generally he would 3bet there.
Is shoving here even good from a range-merging perspective? Surely if I'm only 3-bet shoving trips+ here I'm losing value when I do have big hands like that, and missing out on bluff opportunities as well... |

I like this because he probably raises Tx a large % of the time on the flop.
