-Villains stats show he probably doesn't have an ace.

[/ QUOTE ]I'm interested in how you get to this conclusion?

[/ QUOTE ]

he's aggressive postflop, so it seems unlikely he'd flat AK here.

i like betting the turn, but i disagree that this villain probably folds to the 3-bet a lot. i would be more apt to call preflop and try to hit a big hand...his range may be wide but he is probably going crazy on a lot of flops and turns also, so i think you have pretty good implied odds.

if you have some read however that villain is a good lag, that would fold preflop alot its fine.

as played, bet turn and its NOT EVEN CLOSE

checking this turn leads to triangles

[/ QUOTE ]

Are we talking about PokerEV triangles here?

I read about not being aggressive postflop leading to triangles twice now. I don't know the reasoning behind it. Can anybody explain if they know?

Yes, PokerEV triangles.

Not being aggressive enough in clear spots where you have initiative and can take the pot down without a showdown lead to the "triangle."

The more pots you win without showdown, the higher your green line (total winnings) goes without moving where the blue (all in winnings)/red lines(sklansky bucks) are.

Does that also work the other way around?

I mean, if you do have a triangle, does that necessarily mean you are not being aggressive enough postflop, or could that have other reasons?

Btw ty

While I am at it, I want to ask another thing:

I don't think I really understand what's meant by saying "be more aggresive postflop". My overall AF is like 2.56, turn and river like 1/3 of flop.

Now, I am not sure if that means not calling bets or making more bets, for me specifically.

I am not sure if I could explain, but isn't there any other metric to measure whether my lack of aggression is a product of calling bets or not betting. Because both would lead to less turn/river AF.

I could still get coached btw Just need to find somebody trustworthy.
