I'm looking to build a new computer and was wondering where I could get the best deals. I only need about a 60 GB hard drive and 1G memory. It will be mostly to play poker. Any advice on everything I need to buy would be appreciated.

www.newegg.com [/ QUOTE ] You can get better deals on prebuilt systems, but if you're building it yourself newegg can't be beat. |

look at www.outpost.com
I got a great deal on a 160GB Maxtor HDD there, but everything else I bought from newegg. |

Beavis is correct that their are better deals out there. Newegg has built their business on great customer service, anybody who has ever had to return defective electronics knows what a pita it can be.

Thanks for the help guys. Is there a good time to wait for deals or should I just go ahead and buy all the necessary parts?

Prices are always going down. If you need it now, get it. If not, wait.
BTW, memory is cheap. Get 2 Gigs. |

And don't get hung up on only needing a 60gb (or whatever) size hard drive. You can frequently find higher capacity drives on sale or w/ rebates that make them cheaper or equal in price to much smaller capacity drives.
