Re: Anybody Else think Stars Ruined the $12 - 180\'s?
[ QUOTE ]
ok - you're looking for a serious answer, I'll give you one. I originally thought that Turbos were dumb. A longer / deeper structure gives more of an edge to good players, right? I was wrong - I'm doing really well in the turbos, and it's because the same edges are pushed - just faster. The play is so horrible by most in these turbos that I go much deeper much more in them than the regular speed tourneys. Sure, there are times where I go card dead, and it hurts more than it would in a regular speed tourney. (for example I busted 9th yesterday in one even though I was chip leader with 12 people left. Just went horribly card dead, and then finally pushed, was called by somebody who dominated me, GG OT). But the times that I bust like this pale in comparison to the times I can go much deeper exploiting the mistakes made by my opponents. [/ QUOTE ] Tory...played a few FTs/ late game spots with you in these and I couldn't agree more...high variance early and soft late...very profitable...my SN is Kiran'sdad BTW |

The only thing that the $12 ruined is the regular $20 180s. They take too long to fill up.
