Live 1/2 NL flopped trips - bet sizing?
Hero is short stack with $70
Hero has T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on button - 3 limpers, Hero limps, sb completes, bb checks. Flop ($12) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] checked to hero. How much do you bet here? |

Tough spot.
Bad kicker on a draw heavy board. Because it's a live game and there are so many in, you could probably get away with overbetting the pot. I say about $15 sounds right. If everyone folds, it's just as well. |

Part II
Hero bets $12 2 callers. Turn is A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] checked to hero. Hero? |

I think its a good board just because he has a short stack maybe the bb has something like 10 4 which would be cool

Part II I would push, if someone has QK (which they might)oh well...
You have some outs, fold equity, plus the pot is pretty big compared to your stack |

Yeah, I'd have been feeling much better about KQ if a 9 had fallen instead of the A

I think a push is correct, too though. 36 in the pot, and 58 behind.

Re: Live 1/2 NL flopped trips - bet sizing?
Flop bets of $10 to $15 get very little respect in live play, it's only 2 red chips. I'd bet min $10 here.
Bet $30ish on the turn to get all the monies in on the river. This is counter to normal strategy, but live players will pay off w/ worse hands much more often than internet players, and you need to double up. Don't scare them off with a >PSB. |

Re: Live 1/2 NL flopped trips - bet sizing?
So having 5 callers on a draw-heavy board doesn't bother you? Or are you saying bet more than $10. In retrospect, I was thinking that $20 was a better flop bet for reasons I'll explain in a bit.
