10/20 Borgata - KJ flops the nuts, what do to on turn?
Pretty loose 10/20 game at the Borgata, hero has KdJs and limps in after a few limpers in MP3, 6 see the flop for one bet each.
Flop AQT, with two diamonds (including the ace). One bet to me, I raise, one late position cold caller, original bettor calls. 3 players see the turn, 9d. Early position checks, hero ?? |

Re: 10/20 Borgata - KJ flops the nuts, what do to on turn?
Bet - so that a single high diamond doesn't get a free card. And a single lower diamond will fold...
I would fold to a raise by cold caller unless I had a particular read on the player (i.e., he raises draws on the turn, he bluffs a lot, etc.) River is more difficult if a safe card hits. But I am still b/f here too... |

Clear bet. Call if raised.
You have the A-high straight with a redraw to the nut flush. With the level of coordination the flop had, there are plenty of hands the late position cold caller could have without it being diamonds. If he has diamonds, we have 7 outs to get there. Spike your diamond and make him cry. |

I wouldn't want a low diamond to fold, and certainly couldn't fold myself here... |

Yes, I totally missed the K of diamonds.
Bet and call turn raise. River I might make a crying call if turn got raised and the opponent was a bluffer. |

Re: 10/20 Borgata - KJ flops the nuts, what do to on turn?
At this point, the pot is:
6 * $10 (Preflop) 3 * $20 (Flop) $120 = 6BB First off, we don't want to miss value from weaker hands. Bet is a must. If it goes call, call, I'd bet any river (even an Ace but that's closer). If we get raised on the turn. . . True, the cold caller could have diamonds (10-20 players, at least at Foxwoods, love to play draws this way -- cold calling two on the flop), but J8 is a double-gutter on the flop as well -- it got there. He could also have KJ (with no Kd). Maybe this is even a slowplayed set or two-pair. Who knows? At any rate, I don't think we can fold the turn coming back. So I would bet/call. If we are raised by the cold caller, and river is a diamond, I'd lead out (fearing two low diamonds may fear the counterfeit card and want to check it through). Brick river, check-call. - Jay |

Bet, bet bet. No one has said they have you beat, so keep acting as if you have the best hand until someone tells you otherwise. And if you don't, you have plenty of outs that you are going all the way with this. Clearly a bet/call and check/call river unimproved, or bet river improved.
KJ is such a strong hand here. You should be betting here with as weak as AK and AJ. Don't let people get there for free (when they are drawing with QJ or AJ or KT or JT...) |

I bet/3-bet this all day. You have a straight, and a redraw to the nuts if you're behind. Pump it up!
If he 4-bets the turn, C/C the river UI. I would probably donk if I hit the nuts. |
