200NL: AA in pos, min cr on flop
Comments on all sts appreciated, particularly the turn. No real reads on villain, first time I've played him and I've only been at the table for ten hands or so. Seems lose preflop, he's put $ in 4/10.

I hate min cr's, especially when I'm readless. I call here b/c folding sees uber weak and...(wait for it)...the games seemed fishier than usual on the night in question. If I had been oop in this hand and he min raised my flop lead I'm pretty sure that I would have cr ai on the turn. Since I was in position here I somehow convinced myself to just call. Partially b/c his 1/2 psb seemed wk and I was hoping for a river check. Partially b/c I don't think a push is folding out anything I beat, so the only way to get more value out of a worse hand is to get him to bet it again on the river. Good strat? Should I have just gone away here? River: ($211) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players) UTG bets $107.15 and is All-In, Hero calls $107.15 Now I figure I'm beat but wtf...I've got As and 3:1 odds! |

Re: 200NL: AA in pos, min cr on flop
I'd 3bet the flop to like $88 and get it in if he shoves. AA is the nuts yo.

Re: 200NL: AA in pos, min cr on flop
I may fold on turn and I certainly fold river ...but I'm a nit. What do we beat on river?....AK (less likely due to limp non-reraised pre-flop, KQ (very possible), or a badly played missed flush draw.

you should stop being a coward [/ QUOTE ] Any particular point in the hand that I should take your advice? Am I in complete denial here in thinking that calling down is the only way I get money out of something I beat? Particularly once the turn hits b/c any combo draw type hand just lost a lot of its equity. I guess I've got to atleast push the turn in case he's got a draw that he'll call with. |
