Analysis of stocks/currencies, etc.
When deciding whether to buy or sell a stock/currency etc do you focus on Fundamentals or Technical analysis?
Please post opinions in as much detail as possible in regards to sectors and your reasoning. Thanks a lot Nick |

Re: Analysis of stocks/currencies, etc.
Being a ForEx trader I can tell you that in currencies fundamentals don't really matter.
also note, the shorter the time frame is you trade in, the less important fundamentals get. This is the reason why fundamentals are important for stocks! not so much for futures and currencies. Now with stocks the thing is quite easy, you can have awesome results trading FA or TA or some combination it just is a matter of what suits you best. |

Re: Analysis of stocks/currencies, etc.
I think your method is less important than the process. If you find an edge using tea leaves, then maybe you can trade it.
I don't use any FA, but I know it has value when used correctly. TA suits me better, just like minbet poker suits me better. Maybe this is because FA doesn't really interest me enough. |

shorterm; TA (mixed in w/momentum...ie, whats 'hot' at the moment)
longterm; FA (with a little TA) |
