Formula: Totalwins= TW (every preflop-flop-turn-river money win ?) Opponent(s) spent money=OM You spent money=SM TW-(PreflopSM+PreflopOM+FlopSM+FlopOM+TurnSM+TurnOM+r iverOM+riverSM) is correct this ? anyone can help me ? |

Re: how i can calculate if a river call make or lose money ?.....
Simply calculate the pot odds at the last card (all bets in the pot to this point, or simply the total size of pot). This is exact.
Say the pot has $5 and it cost you $1 to call. You must win this pot 1 time in 6 to break even (lose $1 five times, win $5 once). So now you have to figure out if you think your hand will win 1 in 6 or better. So the pot determines the odds, and then you have to use your judgement. $10 pot, $1 to call, need to win 1 out of 11. $3 pot, $1 call, need to win 1 out of 4, etc. Good luck. |

also the concept of effective odds maybe what you are after but you determine the profitablity on the flop not already at the river. the last calls worth has to do with decisions of the flop If you called preflop with the hand then see flops with different potentials you calculate the gains possible there after. but I think your rough satement about calling is a losser just my intuition but checkin a hand you will call with is no good unless you want to determine by tells what the players may have,
