Simple Stars question: what does a Star mean in a players pic?
Very simple question. I have seen players with a small white star on the top of border of the players picture (black circle). What does it mean?
I initially thought it meant a "play money" player from pokerstars.net but this particular player is in a cash tournament. |

It means they are playing on the dot net platform that has no real money games.

I'm currently playing a $10+1 rebuy, and there's a player called "Holdem_Turk", I don't understand how he can buyin into a cash tournament.
If anybody were to do a search for my Stars name, "BlueBear", you can see this player with the star. |

Some of the freerolls that have cash prizes are available to .net players so that's probably where the player got the cash from.

Re: Simple Stars question: what does a Star mean in a players pic?
Since it's not possible to join any real money game from .NET, the only way I can think of is that the player logged into .COM, started playing the tournament, closed .COM, opened .NET, and was taken back to the table automatically.
