I'd say 3-5000.

[/ QUOTE ]
Are you saying right now? Or people who if they got coached etc.. have the ability to? Because honestly given the current conditions of the games there is no way their are 5000 people can beat 5/10

[/ QUOTE ]

what? Are we talking about 1pt/bb winners too?

Id go ahead and say there are 1000 people who can beat it for 3pt/bb +

[/ QUOTE ]

i know there is no way we can prove this, but if 1000 people can beat it for 3 ptbb, across all sites, at this current state, while four tabling, over 500 thousand hands, without playing ONLY when it is all fish, or only playing pure fish hu, i swear to god on my entire life i will cut my whole left arm off

I'm pretty sure that it was Gdollaz who made the post I reffered to, but I'm not positive. I know SEABEAST plays 400nl-2knl so I don't think it was him who made this post, although he has made similar posts.

Wasn't the screen shot enough in the FTP thread that there are only a handful of people who can beat 6max for >3PTBB longterm. Let alone 1000s.

If the qualifications are:

a) currently beating 5/10 or better for > 1 ptbb, playing a reasonable minimum number of hands per month (say 10-15k)

or

b) capable of doing a), which I would define as

- being capable of winning at > 1 ptbb if added to the current 5/10 player pool (different from adding everyone from fgators to phil ivey and seeing who wins in the new much larger player pool)

- being capable of playing that minimum number of hands.

Then I think it's closer to 5000 than 1000

Make it 3 ptbb and I bet it's < 500, probably a lot less. 200?

Yeah, I made a post along these lines, I'd be glad to move up if it would make me more money, but I just can't beat the 3/6 @ all and I'm lifetime like 1ptbb/100 @ the 5/10, so playing the 2/4 makes the most sense for me @ the moment...

so LFTV, im in the top 200 players in the world? That seems pretty silly to me. I estimate myself to be somewhere from 1000-500 and I feel pretty arrogant when I say that out loud.

at specifically 6m NLHE, with 100 big blind stacks to 200 or 300 big blind stacks, there is no doubt in my mind that both of us are in the top 500, and probably the top 300 and maybe the top 200.

this is a very specific thing we're talking about. we're not talking abotu the handful of tournament players that could be taught specific lines or frequencies and get there after a few months of play, we're talking about right now.

I think this question should be how many people can make $x at 5/10 in a year.
A good number should prevent people from game selecting a ton and requires a reasonable win rate.
