77 from BB, all streets questionable
Am I doing anything right in this hand? I think I should definitely raise preflop but as the hand is played I'm completely lost. SB is 50/15 LAG, maybe a bit passive postflop.

Re: 77 from BB, all streets questionable
Raise pf - nobody has shown any strength. Hand then becomes easier to play.

Prf raise. Fold flop. If he is passive then you are beat most of the times. If he has a draw he has many outs. Pot is too small to fight

Yeah, next time I'm certainly raising pf but my main question is if I should sometimes look him up or if it's fine to always fold the turn. I think he might be somewhat passive but I really don't know yet.

[/ QUOTE ] If you think he's passive and you raise pf and he still bets/3bets or c/r the flop then it is an easy fold IMO - no point in waiting for the turn. A little harder to tell in your situation since you just checked pf, but I would probably fold the turn. |

I agree with anti1k
I would raise the button limper and SB complete with 77 everytime pre. As played the flop is a very very easy fold. The pot is tiny and if you are not behind already you will get outdrawn a large % of the time and you have no re-draw. |

Raise PF. Things are much easier by doing so. Fold on turn as played

Seriously, I think the preflop raise is debatable and a "feel" situation. After that, I think you played fine.

Re: 77 from BB, all streets questionable
100% raise preflop and you should raise on the flop as most bad players are gonna lead any pair on flop 2 of which you have beat. When he 3 bets you should prob put him on a Q and call to hope pick up an open ended or a 7 on the turn. When he comes out firing the turned J you made a good fold unless you reallt put him on 7/8 A6/ something like that or 2 spades. This is why its key to take notes on players like this cause they will help you immensely in difficult spots like this.
