Re: online stock services
looks pretty fishy to me. if they were that good at picking stocks they wouldn't need a website to make money. they could just be printing money themselves by following their own picks.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't know anything about this specific group of service, but your statement is absurdly wrong. A service with a solid track record and a strategy that fits in with your situation can be a good way to go. |

[/ QUOTE ] Lots of people are excellent stock pickers, but fail to be able to pull the trigger or be able to manage their position psychologically. The only problem I have with 'stock picking' services is that that's all they do. A sound investment strategy needs much more than simply what to buy. You need to know how much of your portfolio to invest based on a risk assessment, and under what circumstances you will add to/trim/sell at a loss/sell at a profit, amongst other considerations. Stock picking is only a small proprtion of a successful strategy, but it is the information most people want - and so most people will sell to you. |

A lot of newsletters give you exit points. They also generally provide updates on what to do if the situation changes at the company involved.
Chat-type sites usually include a great deal of training and education. |
