Re: Obama says what?
It's a pretty statement so vague it could be used to justify almost anything. Pretty standard. And he does make his opposition to war clear, which makes him far superior to Clinton and Giuliani.
What are you asking for? Concrete commitments from a campaigning politician? War against Iran? Look, he's keeping the nukes and maintaining a condition of mutually assured destruction, but he's doing it in a way that makes him look like part of the disarmament crowd. Seems shrewd to me. |

Re: Obama says what?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] This is standard democrat talk. They've been repeating this idealogical fantasy for as long as I've been alive. And they'll keep doing it every election. They say it because it works (gets applause). [/ QUOTE ] Exactly what are you implying here?! [/ QUOTE ] Politicians say things that are popular that they have no intention of doing anything about? Re: Obama says what?
It's not actually very clear from the article wtf he is proposing. However
[ QUOTE ] the concept has the backing of at least two former Republican secretaries of state, Henry Kissinger and George Shultz [/ QUOTE ] If Kissinger supports it then it's hardly likely to be simply playing to the liberal gallery. |
