I tend to agree with you, though I wonder how it will look in comparison to Hank Aaron's reviling. Since we have the power of the Internet (and YouTube, specifically), all of the nonsense that was spoken about Bonds is archived for playback at a later time.

I'd be willing to wager that the HoF would display the asterix along with some sort of note explaining things. This would be a donation or a loan to the Hall, and would probably include such a stipulation.
