its painfully obvious, Bonds is going to the AL to DH, best guess is Anaheim, followed by Yanks, Red Sox.

He wants a ring, those are the best candidates in the AL. Ship it and yawn!

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it's Anaheim. the only way he's in Boston is if Manny gets traded, or if Papi gets hit by a bus

Is this Michael Lewis the same guy who wrote Liar's Poker and The Blind Side?

Anaheim would make sense if it wasnt for Vlads bum shoulder. Seems like he is going to have to start DHing more and more. Unless Bonds and Vlad platooned at OF/DH. That would be kinda sick.

And sign Arod. Bonds/Arod/Vlad 345. Wowzers.

Why Anaheim and not NYY? Are the yanks too image or legacy minded, maybe?

Where is RedBean? 66 posts into a Bonds thread and he's nowhere to be seen. We should call 911 as something has clearly happened to our favorite mustachioed Bonds-obsessed Philadelphian.

If you are a fan of Billy Beane, wisehand.. This book has some great stories about his playing days and how he got a job in MLB.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know, I heard Joe Morgan say that Beane shouldn't be writing any books about himself. In my experience, when it comes to baseball, Joe Morgan is the man. Think I'll skip the book.

FWIW it's worth, I didn't even read the whole book. I did, however, read an excerpt in the NY Times. It's typical if you write a book, you want to be the hero. That is apparently what Beane has done. According to what I read in the Times, Beane is smarter than anyone else. I don't think it will make him popular with the other GMs or the other people in baseball.

I'm always around, just nothing really to add to the discussion.

If someone wants to make some steroid accusations, though, we can get things cranked up.

And where did you get the idea I was from Philly? Not even close.
